About Me

What I Do and Why I Do It

Hi, I’m Astrid. I’m a qualified teacher in the UK with over 14 years of classroom experience and five years of teaching online.

I hold a degree in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics and a postgraduate qualification in teaching Design and Technology, but what really matters is how I create spaces where young people feel safe, included, and free to be themselves.

Since 2020, I’ve taught thousands of learners in live, interactive online classes. I specialise in creating relaxed, social spaces where kids and teens can connect, play, and learn at their own pace. I know that not every learner thrives in a traditional classroom, and I build my classes to support different communication styles, energy levels, and neurotypes.

I'm neurodivergent myself, and that absolutely shapes the way I teach. My classes are low-pressure, supportive, and rooted in respect. Whether we're gaming, chatting, or getting creative, the focus is always on connection and confidence.

I also love gaming. I play Brawl Stars every day and I’m a huge fan of Roblox, especially Bloxburg. I build my classes around games I genuinely enjoy because I believe enthusiasm is contagious. I don't just sit on Zoom while learners play—I’m in the game with them, helping to create shared experiences that are fun, inclusive, and safe.

If you're looking for classes where your child can show up as they are and feel welcomed, I'd love to have them join me.
